Hulu Plus now available to all, no longer invite only

If you’re a big Hulu fan and you wanted in on the Hulu Plus action, you were probably pulling your hair out every day checking for an invite. Today, your woes are finally settled as the video streaming service finally opened up its service to all.

Of course, if you’ve been waiting for Hulu Plus, you should know by now that you’ll be forking over $9.99 each month for a subscription. The plus side is that you’ll get more content and access to entire seasons of TV shows rather than just a handful of episodes on regular Hulu. You’d also think that with a subscription that ads and commercials go away, but that’s not the case here. Ah well, tradeoffs.

According to RWW:

Says Rob Wong, Director of Product for Hulu, users no longer need an invitation to sign up for Hulu Plus. Also, the service will roll out next week to Sony PS3 owners with a PlayStation network account.

Bonus! If you’re not too keen on lugging your laptop around just to watch your favorite episodes of Glee, you can get it streamed to your TV via PS3 if you haven’t already picked up something like a Roku.
