Windows Phone 7 devices haven’t even been officially released yet, but the Mac connector is now available. There are a lot of folks who are looking forward to Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system, and many of them happen to be Mac users, too. Until now, it didn’t seem like Windows Phone 7 wasn’t going to have any viable options for syncing with Apple computers, but is it good enough?
Perhaps it will be. It appears to be able to sync music, photos, videos and podcasts from iTunes. I’d have to assume that it will allow you to sync your contacts and calendar as well in order to be of good use.
Windows Phone 7 Connector lets your syncronize your favorite music, videos, photos and podcasts from iTunes and iPhoto to your Windows Phone 7, so you can take your media with you wherever you go.
However, DRM protected files might not be able to get synced onto Windows Phone 7 devices, which would be a real bummer. This is a similar issue that Android users have run into when using apps like DoubleTwist.
Oh well, better than nothing at all, right?
