Android Gingerbread rises up at Google complex

Android is rising quickly and getting updates so damn often that it’s hard to keep up. The diabetes-inducing names carry on as Gingerbread is next on the list to follow Froyo. As a signal for its arrival, the good folks at Google have erected a large gingerbread man on its campus for all to see.

I’m not too sure whether Gingerbread will be Android 2.3 or 3.0 as rumors have been rattling my brain. Going with the progression, though, it’s almost safe to say that it will likely be Android 2.3 as 2.1 and 2.2 were Eclair and Froyo, respectively.
