The Verizon Limited Edition Star Wars DROID R2-D2 notification sign up has finally come through with this e-mail showing the slick design of the DROID R2-D2. The phone comes with home screens, wallpapers, apps, widgets and more. The release of this phone celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

The DROID R2-D2 website has been updated with an Empire Strikes Back scrolling intro and a run down of all the apps and widgets the R2-D2 comes with.

The price is $249 with a 2 year activation, $29 data package required.
