T-Mobile G2 HSPA+ Smartphone Teaser Page

T-Mobile has announced the Android based G2, their first HSPA+ network based smartphone. The G2 is scheduled to be released mid-September. T-Mobile G1 owners were notified today via text message and a teaser information sign up page of the G2 was put up yesterday.

The T-Mobile® G1® was the world’s first Android™ -powered phone. Launched nearly two years ago, it created an entirely new class of mobile phones and apps. Its successor, the T-Mobile G2™ with Google™, will continue the revolution.

The T-Mobile G2 will deliver tight integration with Google services and break new ground as the first smartphone designed to run at 4G speeds on our new HSPA+ network. In the coming weeks, we’ll share more details about the G2 and offer exclusive first access to current T-Mobile customers.

For T-Mobile G2 being the first phone to run on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ (High-Speed Packet Access) network, T-Mobile is scheduling to roll out new coverage areas with over 100 metropolitan cities. The network is rolling out HSPA+ speeds faster than three times 3G to over 185 million people by the end of the year.
