ZodTTD, well known for his iPhone development, is working on an unnamed Playstation emulator for Android 2.x. ZodTTD has combined efforts with the authors of the emulators Nesoid and Gameboid. Some pictures have been provided by DigitalDisbeliever showing off the emulators preliminary interface based off Gameboid.
As with any homebrew and emulator type packages, speed is key. Snapdragon and Cortex A8 processor based phones will fare much better performance wise than slower processor based phones. The current build is running shy of 60 frames per second, but new versions are expected to have increased performance.
These pictures show the emulator running on a Nexus One. This emulator will probably fly on next generation Android phones.
