Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile Coming July 21st for $199

The T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy S, the Samsung Vibrant, has been officially announced by T-Mobile to come out on July 21st for $199 with a two-year contract.

Preloaded on the Samsung Vibrant will be an exclusive The Sims 3 Collector’s Edition from EA and a 2GB external memory card with James Cameron’s Avatar. Other software included are Amazon’s Kindle for Android, a 30 day subscription to MobiTV (live and on-demand TV), Slacker Radio, a free month of in-flight Wi-Fi access through GoGo Inflight Internet, and the Samsung Media Hub.

The Samsung Vibrant has the 5MP camera with 720P video recording, digital zoom and autofocus, but lacks a flash for the camera. Since all of the images on the T-Mobile website are simulated, hopefully the flash will be included in a final version.

The Samsung Vibrant will of course have the 4″ Super AMOLED screen, the 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, and be running on Android 2.1 with seven-paned home screen. The phone is not an HSPA+ device, but will benefit from enhanced speeds with T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. The Samsung Social Hub, Samsung’s equivalent to Motoblur, will be on the Vibrant, as well as Swype, and GPS turn by turn navigation.

A dark blue and a lavender battery cover will be packaged exclusively with the Vibrant.

Dimensions: 4.82″ x 2.54″ x 0.39″ weighing 4.16 oz.
