This video is a proof-of-concept for feature film trilogy called Azureus Rising. The short film’s graphics, action sequences and sound effects are very cool, as well as the ingenious fight scenes. The background of the film according to Black Sun Entertainment is, “Azureus is the story of a young man who after escaping death and enduring a life changing journey – matures into a heroic freedom fighter. Azureus Rising is an epic tale of self discovery, obligation and love against all odds.”
The film definitely has a lot going for it in terms of art design and special effects. The hero uses both a sword and pair of guns, very much like other popular heroes such as Dante from the video game Devil May Cry. The hero has a more ninja aspect though, with his identity concealed and small gadget devices to aid him in his confrontations. It’s a very good proof-of-concept and looks great so far.
